Course Tour

Hole #1

Hole #1

Par 4, 318 Yards

A 318 yard short par 4 starting hole with a slight dogleg to the left. This relatively easy starting hole requires a straight 200 yard + tee shot and an accurate wedge shot to a kidney shaped inclined green guarded by traps right and left with a 40 foot tree guarding the left front of the green. Don't go over the green or a bogey is imminent. Keep the ball short of the hole and a birdie is easily attainable.

Hole #2

Hole #2

Par 3, 177 Yards

A 177 yard par 3 to a well trapped green, front left, front right, and long. Again, don't go over and do not short side yourself to the pin. Keep the ball short of the green or short of the hole and a par or birdie is easy. Go over or short side yourself and a bogey or worse is just as easy.

Hole #3

Hole #3

Par 4, 376 Yards

A 376 yard par 4 with a slight dog leg right. Tall trees prevent the green's front pin positions from being accessed by a mis-placed tee shot. The short hitter must carry the fairway bunkers to the right at 220 yards. The long hitter must play an accurate tee shot in order to have the proper approach to the tree guarded green.

Hole #4

Hole #4

Par 4, 424 Yards

A 424 yard par 4 heading straight north. Toughest hole on the front nine. Out-of-bounds left, trees and bunkers right. No room for tee shot errors. A long, tough par 4 for the short hitter; a tight hole for the long hitter. Par is a good score for all.

Hole #5

Hole #5

Par 5, 541 Yards

A tough 541 yard par five. Out-of-bounds left, a lake and creek right. Second toughest hole on the front nine. An accurate tee shot is a must, followed by a well placed second shot to the slight dog leg left with a right sloping fairway to the fairway trap and trees to the right. Play two good shots and a good short iron shot and you have a good birdie opportunity. A bad tee shot will result in a double bogey or worse.

Hole #6

Hole #6

Par 4, 370 Yards

A 370 yard par 4 lay-up hole. The KCC signature hole has a sharp drop off to the creek if the tee shot goes over 250 yards. Trees guard the right side of the fairway and large trap guards the left. A large lake guards the green’s right front. The elevated second shot makes the second shot more difficult to judge. Don't be short.

Hole #7

Hole #7

Par 4, 345 Yards

A 345 yard par 4 which plays tougher than it looks from the tee. A narrow tree lined fairway with a green guarded by tall trees to the left makes any tee shot to the left of center blocked from accessing any left of center pin position. The slightly elevated green is well trapped, left front, and two to the right. A perfect tee shot is required to have a shot at any side left pin.

Hole #8

Hole #8

Par 3, 172 Yards

A 172 yard par 3 with a postage stamp sized elevated and well trapped green. A perfect iron shot is required. Miss the green and bogey or worse awaits with a trap shot from one of the five green side bunkers.

Hole #9

Hole #9

Par 4, 290 Yards

A 290 yard par 4 which requires a Tiger Woods stinger 3 wood to avoid any one of the 6 fairway and green side traps. Better try a Tiger Woods stinger 5 iron to the 100 yard marker just to be safe and a birdie awaits. Hit one of the bunkers and a bogey is your reward.

Hole #10

Hole #10

Par 3, 196 Yards

A 196 yard par 3. A large inclined green is guarded by traps right and left. Going over the green is stone dead. Better keep it short of the pin or the green for an easy par.

Hole #11

Hole #11

Par 5, 480 Yards

A 480 yard par 5 dog leg left around a large bunker to the left. Trees right block the unwary long hitters second shot. A birdie opportunity awaits the player who plays two straight shots for a chip or easy short iron to a large receptive green.

Hole #12

Hole #12

Par 4, 333 Yards

A 333 yard par 4 which requires a perfect tee shot to have a chance at birdie. Out of bounds left, a stand of tall trees right, with a tall oak blocking any 250 yard or less tee shot down the right side of the fairway. An undulating green requires an accurate second shot below the hole for a chance at birdie. The toughest 333 yard hole around.

Hole #13

Hole #13

Par 4, 408 Yards

A 408 yard par 4 which heads due north. Looks easy. Plays tough. Fairway bunker left, trees right. The green is large and receptive with traps right and left. Good tee shot a must. The first hole of the KCC's amen corner.

Hole #14

Hole #14

Par 4, 403 Yards

A 403 yard par 4 with a large fairway bunker right, and a creek to the left which runs across the fairway to the right of the green. The large, receptive, undulating green awaits the golfer who hits a good tee shot.

Hole #15

Hole #15

Par 4, 415 Yards

A long 415 yard par 4. The toughest hole on the back nine and the final hole of amen corner. A creek left eats up hooks, and runs across the fairway from the left to the right of a large, undulating green. A long, straight and well placed tee shot is required to have a good shot at the green which is slightly elevated from the fairway. Green side traps right and left make the second shot harder than it appears. A par is a great score.

Hole #16

Hole #16

Par 3, 182 Yards

A 182 yard par three with a green guarded by traps right and left. An easy par with a good iron shot, an easy bogey for an errant iron shot.

Hole #17

Hole #17

Par 4, 332 Yards

A 332 yard par 4. Out of bounds right makes an accurate tee shot a must as the left side is guarded by trees all the way to the green. Green side bunkers right and left guard a narrow, but rather large green. Two good shots set up an easy birdie attempt.

Hole #18

Hole #18

Par 4, 380 Yards

A 380 yard par 4 dogleg left finishing hole which plays much harder than its yardage. The right to left tee shot must clear the hill and avoid the tall trees left. Hit the tee shot too far or to the right and long rough and well placed trees await. An undulating green with traps to the right and over the green makes a birdie unattainable for the mis-played iron shot.
